To all Hanger 9 Sukhoi pilots, will the Sukhio fly the IMAC sequences well?
Does the Sukhoi have any bad tendencies?
Will the Sukhoi be competitive in Intermediate and Advance levels?
Thanks

Hi Couch Flyer I have a Sukhoi with a 106 qs in it my first year in unlimited. I have tried several 33%er and a 40% radio craft for a couple months this spring and my SUKHOI does a pretty good job. The strong points I would say is the down lines and rolling circles. The down lines required no mixing with the throttle and nice and slow. You have to add throttle for clean snaps going down. The rollers are the easiest I have tried. The negatives are you need to run a 12 pitch prop and timing your roll stops it seems to want to over rotate a little. For the price I think it is a good plane for IMAC. And I love the 106QS it has great power.Just my opinion I am definitely not a expert but it is a fun air plane and it seems to be tough. Mark,

Good Morning Couch-Flyer I think a DA 100 would be a great choice. It seemed to need a little speed to get good crisp snaps and on my motor the 12 pitch prop was a little smoother and quieter. Mark,

Hi cubdriver,
Okay, thanks for the info. The H9 Sukhoi is one plane I am going to be considering.
I think it is one of the best looking planes also!
Cheers

Good thread! What happened with being able to subscribe to a thread and get email notifications? Or am I just missing something?
Anyway, I have the H9 Suk in the box and I will put it together this winter. I'm also thinking of a DA. I saw Jim Sandquist's at an IMAA meet. He was flying it with a Mezjlik 24-12 3 blade and stock mufflers. I thought the noise level was very reasonable.
I don't fly competition (ONE IMAC meet in MN per year
) but I do like to fly routines so I'm interested in this thread.

The "subscribe" button is now on the top of the thread, not on the bottom.
