IMAC Scotland 2014 - Castle Kennedy 28th and 29th June
Just to let those who are interested know that there will be another IMAC Scotland event taking place at Castle Kennedy airfield on the 28th and 29th June 2014. Further details to follow but this will be an open event therefore non IMAC UK members are more than welcome. All classes to be flown including freestyle.
It is important to note that this is a private venture in conjunction with Model Flying Scotland (www.modelflyingscotland.org ) and has absolutely no connection with the Scottish Aeromodellers Association (SAA), its council members or CDs. This may not seem significant to those not in the know but it has resulted in and will result in several crucial differences:
1) It has been possible to hire the site at a fraction of the cost of what the SAA were quoted for the hire of the site. This means that there will be no need for an extra levy on the entry fee and camping fees will be kept to a reasonable level.
2) As this is a private venture and not being held under the SAA it has been possible to host a two day stand alone event with the possibility of having the Friday as a practice day which is fantastic for those travelling over from Ireland or up from England. It is fair to say that this simply would not have been possible otherwise.
The core competition values of fairness, equality, transparency and inclusiveness will be upheld making for an enjoyable and rewarding competition for all in attendance.
See www.imacuk.org for further details closer to the competition.
