Bob,
Very nice pic...of the Tucson Shootout 2003.
What a show!!!! The crowds went wild with the unlimited free-style.
You can view additional pictures at www.desertaircraft.com, then to the TucsonShootout link, then to pics..., left side bottom.
All pics were taken with a Nikon 5000 and external flash except for the flying pics. A 2X extension was used here.
All of the pics have been unedited so some improvement could be made, but overal not bad...I had a lot of fun and met a lot of very nice people and was able to view a "ton" of great looking and great flying airplanes.

Here are a couple more. What a GREAT 4 days that was. I should have flown in it, but ended up working the flightline instead. Oh, well, there is next year and this way I was able to take a few photos. [8D]
The full-resolution photos are 5 megapixel, I down-sized them to 600 wide for landscape shots and 540 wide for the portrait mode shots.
1) Chip Hyde does his walkaround torque-roll.
2) Bill Hempel, Jr. launches his 52% Pitts Challenger straight up from a hover.
3) Jeff Szueber does an inverted fly-by.
4) The Brothers Szueber pose before Jeff's final free style flight of the Shootout.
