Hi all,
Does anyone know if plans are available for a Dalotel, approx 72"? Not exact scale, flight qualities come first
. Peter Wessels used to fly F3A in Germany with one of that size (more or less), and of course Hanno Prettner's TOC machine is legendary ( but that one was substantially bigger).
Are any of these still used for IMAC? Certainly an easier canopy than an Extra
!
Thanks,
Kris G.

Ryan,
Thanks!
I'll check if the plans are available. I saw he has a website, and it mentions two Dalotel sizes, one of which is indeed what I am looking for.
Did you ever see one fly?
Kris

Hi Ryan,
In the mean time, I also found Peter Wessels' E-mail address, so I'll see if he has plans available. Germany is so much closer than the USA!
Regards,
Kris

Dear Antony,
Thanks for the offer. However, shipping a complete 78" bird over to Europe would probably cost quite a bit of money ( with crating, insurance, shipping, ... ). I do not see that as a viable option, but still many thanks for letting me know.
However, do you think he would sell the plan? You can contact me privately at [email protected]
Thanks,
Kris

Thanks for the replies everybody!
I ordered the plans from MRA magazine ( a French one) yesterday. 1,8 meters span ( 72" or so), so that's exactly the size I wanted. If anybody is interested in what they are offering, have a look at www.mra-magazine.com There are some plans for rather rare airplanes there ( French as one can expect, and so is the Dalotel), so it could be interesting for scale buffs. Unfortunately, no pics with the plans, and no ordering from the website, but their reaction to e-mail was pretty fast.
Thanks again,
Kris

I once owned a Dalotel and it was one of the best handling planes I have ever flown. Unfortunately It came to an untimely end due to some one turning on on my freq [:@]
