Loss of Ernie Kraft, IMAC 235
The following was posted on the AMA District V Yahoo Group, about Ernie Kraft.. from Ben Perreau.. Sympathy to his family and friends.
It is with sadness that I learned this morning that Ernie Kraft
passed away on Thanksgiving day.
For the ones that don't know him in the SouthEast region, he was a
pioneer with IMAC in South Florida. He joined in 1976 and received
the membership #235.
Up to a couple years ago, he CD'ed a contest on Father's day every
year. He was thrilled to see the increase of interest in IMAC over
the last few years and his contest grow for just a couple of friends
to over 30 participants.
Recently, Ernie devoted himself to put the finishing touch on his
club (Boca Raton Gold Coast), so much that the board decided to name
the field after him.
Twice a year, he also organized a series of 'mini-IMAC' contest
specifically designed for the local club members with just the Basic
and Sportsman sequence. Those were 'no pressure' and the goal was
to get a better pilot through aerobatics.
We'll miss having you around Ernie.
I'm sure that the angels will be flying aerobatics soon!
