Diablo, I'm building the new carden 35% extra 330 I have it built and ready to cover now. You got my curiosity up after seing the numbers you posted for the wild hare extra so I took these measurements:
Wing root = 24.5" chord
Wing tip = 13.5"
Panel span leading edge = 46.5"
Fuselage width at leading edge =11.75"
Wing aera = 2049
Cowl width = 12.5"
Fuse max height + 15.5"
Length = 99" rudder to tip of spinner
Looks like the WH has a little fatter and taller fuse, while the carden is a little longer.

Thanks for the measurements PGR. What engine are you going to put in the Carden? I'll be very interested in hearing what the completed plane weighs.
I just checked one of your old posts about a 3W-106 that was cutting out on you after 5 minutes. You were going to send it to Cactus to check for an air leak. What did they find and how's the engine run now? I've got a 3W-106 in my WH Extra and I like to be ahead of any motor issues.

Hello,
If your in the Market. Aerotech's ARF's are first class. I had my 35% Edge 540T come in last week and so far the attention to detail is awesome. You can't put a price for quaility like this. Check them out.
Thanks
Steve

I had one on order but I decided to roll over and build the 42% kit instead. I had so much pleasure building the 35% Edge I just couldn't resist. It is just killing me to see one of John's ARFs. I have several buddies that are very curious about them after seeing my Aerotech kit built but they just don't jump without seeing one first.
I know it just has to be top notch for John to let it out of his shop and its a nice change to be able to keep our ARF dollars in the US rather than helping China fund their military.

Hello,
John said he has a few Veloxs and Velox ARF's that will be at the JR Challenge in march. If your firends are waiting, thats what I did until I spoke to him and by the pics from your posts all they are doing is building the kits. I know when I called him Friday about a quick question, he was installing a new laser system and getting training. So business must be good. Im sure those lasers are pricey.
I know that nothing Ive seen in the WH, or other similar size ARF's have this much attention to detail. Glad your yours is doing great. I can't wait until mine done.
Thanks
Steve

Diablo, I plan on using a DA-100 for power on the Carden. AS for the 106, Bobby sent me another motor, but still had the same problem. He finally called me and said 3W sent him a new batch of ignition modules and would send me one to try.(keep in mind this would be the 4th. module tried). So what the heck I'll try one more...put the module in and tha finally solved the porblem.
I now have well over 200 flights on the 106 and it has been absolutely flawless.

Thanks PGR:
My motor has the old-style ignition which is interchangeable with my spare DA ignition. I'm glad to hear your problem was traced to the ignition and not something in the mechanical design.

We have had 5 of the new ignition modules all do the same thing. You can get one sequence and then they start cutting out. If you keep running it the time that it cuts out gets shorter. We tried mounting ignitions in all different locations thinking that they are not getting fresh air, but it did not matter. The latest ignition is working very well now.

Hello,
Give me a break with that. I had a Fiberclassics for just over a year and it had stress cracks over alot of the fuse and the wing against the fuse was turned the fuse sides very soft. So yes they are pretty but its not any better than a kit. Its a hard decision with all the opinions. But give me a good built kit any day now. I can make it pretty.
Thanks
Chris
