Pilot and Dash for JR Challange?

Pilot and Dash for JR Challange?
I know this sounds like a dumb question, but since I flew basic last year and plan on it this year - to compete in the JR challange I need to fly Sportsman wich means I have to install a pilot and dash panel is this right? If so where can I get a cheap light pilot in time? any reccomendations? I have a dash panel on the way already. I really don't want to install it - only if I have to.
