I have noticed, looking at the NC contests, that they are all 2 day events. Flying in basic, do you actually fly both days? Or must you be there for both days usually?

Most contests are two days but I have seen many pilots who can't make it both days still come out and fly. You will not place at the top but you will still have a great time.

Can't say for sure about the NC region, but in the SW all contests are 2-day events and Basic flies both days, just like the other classes. Also, in our region Basic flies a single Known sequence while the other classes fly their Unknown.

In the NC, a normal contest is two days. All classes on Sat will fly two - three rounds of Knowns (4-6 sequences). On Sunday, Sps - Unl fly one sequence of Unknowns while Basic fly a full Known round (2-seq's). Then all classes fly another full Known round (2-seq's). So, Basic does end up flying one more sequence over the weekend then the other classes.
