Ok, I have two buddies that I fly IMAC with and they still have not learned aresti. It is almost impossible to have them call for me without having the text version. If they have to call the sequence from aresti it is something like this,
"um pull up to a 45 degree line then 2rolls, um I mean a 2 point roll, then um um make a down line with um a, hold on, a 1/4 roll then um 3/4 rolls, wait do the 3/4 rolls the opposite way".
I think you guys get my point. I remember a site that explained all of the aresti symbols but can't seem to find it for them. Anyone got the link. Please let someone have a link!

Go to the [link=http://www.mini-iac.com]IMAC SITE[/link] On the front page there you will find these items:
Aresti Made Simple - A nice explanation of the what and how of Aresti
Aresti -Dictionary - shows most of the common elements and what they are in an easy to use format
FAI Catalog - a link to the actual catalog. Best to use the first 2. The first 2 documents are maybe 6 or 8 pages total between them. But 15 to 30 minutes with them is all you really need to get up to speed on Aresti.

I always TYPE out the way I want it called to me, and give it to the caller, so if I have different callers calling for me, I still hear the samething said to me, how I LIKE TO HEAR IT, not how the caller wants to call it.
Makes better since to me to have it written out and called the same each time.
I would suggest to write it ourt for your callers.
I DO agree thought that they should learn about the Aresti.

Don't think it can happen to you?? Then you're a better pilot than a certain TOC pilot from a certain South American country who got lost in the last TOC and flew the last 8 figures of his sequence in the wrong direction. His caller, and a very experienced and well practiced one at that, could not keep up reading the written narrative and missed calling an exit direction. 8 zeros are hard to come back from!!!
