I have about 30 flights on a 27% Planes Plus Extra with a DA50. I have experienced several issues and I would like to know if anyone else has had this same issues. I have had glue joints come loose on the hatch hold downs, as well as the formers in fuse and servo trays in the wings. Recently at the practice field, the rudder hinges snapped into while flying the sportsman pattern. I was able to land with the rudder held on by the pull pull cables. Any advice?

I have had many of the same issues you have had. I completely recovered mine. The Chinakote had to go. During the recovering process, I found that none of the fuse stringers were glued to any of the formers aft of the gear block, you might check yours. I also found that many of the rib cap strips were not glued either. I replaced all my hinges with Robarts.

How are your removable stabs holding up? Where do the plastic straps go? We are almost ready to test fly one and don't want any issues. I installed Sig Super X hinges on every thing and put extra glue where ever I could reach. I also put extra wood around the servo bays. It has a BME 50 and it shakes quite a bit at idle.

I glued my stabs in place. I do not need to remove for trasportation. I do not know where the straps go. If you need more, I still have mine. This is one of the best planes I have ever flown. I do not fly 3-D, need more practice, I only fly IMAC. I have a DA 50 with a 22x8 bolly. Can not go to the 23x8 because of the low slung landing gear. Very close ground clearance with the 22x8. I fly mine a little tail heavy. Mine balanced center of the wing tube. It only required 1 click of left and 1 click of down. Have not touched the trim since. Great IMAC plane for me. I will compete with it for the first time this season. I am an old AMA Masters pattern flyer, and this airplane fly's very much like my old pattern ships. Slow, true, with no bad characteristics. Mine does not require any mixes. I know you will like this on, just be careful about the lack of prop clearance.
