Hanger 9 Extra 260 with Fuji 43 EI
I am looking for some opinions about using the Hanger 9 Extra 260 with a Fuji 43EI for IMAC. Does anyone know of this application with this equipment?

I've seen that engine and it's not powerful enough. I'd rather go for a good DA 50. Gee... u see... the height of my flying site is not helpful at all regarding engine performance (8500+ ft OSL). Though it could be of use for u since if it works here, it'll work everywhere...!!!

I would agree, that engine won't put out nearly enough power. I have a flying buddy that put the 80cc twin into a Lanier Yak thinking it was going to rip. Sadly it is a toatal pig. Even worse is that the engine is going to make the airplane too heavy as well. I too would go with the DA 50 or even a ZDZ 50 and keep the setup as light as possible. Single RX battery amd light weight components everywhere. Target weight IMO should be around 14 to 14.5 lbs.

I have the H9 260 with a DA 50 on it. Her dry weight is 14 lbs 11 ozs. Unlimited verical with a 23 x 8 prop. I have JR 8411s on elev and ali, a 8611 on the rudder, and a Fut 9001 on the throttle. Two Fromeco 2400 li-ion batteries. I would not trade or sell for anything. Go luck with yours. My field elevation is around 1500 msl.

Hi Shawn my experience with the ZDZ50NG has been very positive and it has been flying several Great Planes Patty W Extras which are a bit heavy --Recently one of our locals came out to the field with a DA50 equippted Yak (the over priced one ) by what ever his name is from South of the border..I had WAY more power on the vertical and running a less expensive 22-8 than the DA50 equippted Yak

I love this plan, great fun! I agree with the above statements concerning the DA 50. This a great combo even with a 22x10 break in prop. More than enough power for up lines and nice controlled down lines.
Some guys have had problems with the landing gear de-laminating. No problems here- our run way is asphalt.
