Hey Everyone.
Am considering going to Abilene's IMAC contest in 3 weeks. What or who is the contact -person. Tried to e-mail the Ghostflyer but have not received a reply. I may have mispelled the address.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanx

Here are my questions:
1) Which way does the field face and what time is the pilot's meeting?
2) How many Advanced pilots are anticipated?
3) If I brought a tent, is camping at the field permitted or possible?
4) Will club judging be used or competitor judging?
5) Is there electicity at the field?
thanx in advance.

N/S runway you face the east, 9:00 am
2) How many Advanced pilots are anticipated?
No Clue

I know you can leave your trailer and RV there but there are no hookups there will be somebody from the club staying overnight, so I assume tent camping is permissible but I am not sure
4) Will club judging be used or competitor judging?
competitor judging
5) Is there electicity at the field?
I think there is

Thanks Dan, I couldn't answer any of the questions better than that. I'm not sure what your needing electricity for. There are only two outlets in a locked box that will be used primarily for the Pa system, concession area, and the RV parked in the concession area.

Thanx for the answers.
The electricity would be to charge the plane, if I camp out at the field. May not be needed but is always nice to know.
Also, is the pilot/dashboard rule being enforced?
Hope to see you guys in several weeks.

I plan on going, unless something bad happens between now and then.
My charger is AC only (Powerflite) Think the batteries can handle 4 flights. Flew 3 long flights today. If I had AC I would top them off though. Sounds like fun as I haven't seen any IMAC guys in 5 years.
Yeah, I was wondering about that flying facing the East with pilots meeting at 9:00.
Thanx

Ed,
It has been a while since you flew if you are still using a powerflight charger. I will let you borrow my Fromeco 3 output DC charger...LOL The powerflight chargers will run off DC you just have to make an adaptor.

Yeah, what can I say, I use what I have. New NMP batteries, but old charger!! 5 years anyway for my last IMAC contest. Hardly recognize any of the names of pilots.
Will see how the next couple weeks goes and plan to show up Sat Morning.
Thanx

Hey, thanks for driving tat the pattern contest.. i was way to busy trying to get enough beerin me to sleep the whole night (grin)
Watch yourself with this IMAC crew in the South central... they arent impressed much with pattern pilots.. i placed 5th and fourth.. no threat, so hopefully you will arry the flag better than I.

If you have the standard powerflight 1 to 5 output charger then it is already set up for DC. The black box that you plug into AC is just a 12v power supply. GOTO radioshack and ger you a cigarette lighter plug and an adapter to plug into the side of your charger and you are set.
PS what is your last name so I can add it to the list
Who else is going to Abiline?

This is a different Powerflite charger, just has 3 output plugs and doesn't have an AC adapter per se. I think I'll be OK. flew 3 flights yest, long ones and still had 7.6 volts or so.
Chuck, I didn't get enough beer in me also, but slept just fine anyway!!

Well, Im not gonna make this one. I promised the son I would take him to six flags my next weekend off, so it falls on the same day as abiline. Think I may shoot for Tulsa as my next one. Depends on how many are gonna go.
