Tim,
I hear that you have a backup plane in the works!
When will it be ready?

I'm gonna move up to Advanced this year (Working on my rollers already) and will see what my GP Extra can do against the "high priced spread".

So to answer your question, I'll probably keep flying the "vet" till she drops, and we'll have one of the new ones flying within a month. We'll frame up the other one this spring and have a backup in the bones.
I've also got a new BME Extreme 110 coming for the "vet", so we'll see what more power and less weight do for it.

That is the one thing I miss about Indy. Down here in Atlanta, you either go to the Carolinas or Florida. In either case, you are looking at 6 hours one way. IN the NC region, I could go to all the contest except for the one in Minnesota with that kind of driving!

The Brazil Spring Wing the first weekend of May in Clinton, IN (just north of Terre Haute) will be the first one. Lotsa IMAC activity within a 2 or 3 hour drive from Indy. I was thinking of CDing an IMAC myself, but now, maybe not.

This will be my first year competing even though I've been on the sticks for over 10. I think I will start in sportsman or intermediate.I've got both memorized, stick flown, sim flown now I can hardly wait to finish my Edge! I'm tempted to go with sportsman because I think I'd have more fun trying to work my way up.

Hackmaster,
Go to the IMAC site and check out the contst calendar for the NW region. There are several contests that are very close to Seattle. Your Ultimate would do just fine in Basic or Sportsman.
