I am doing a couple of models using cowls and canopies for this discontinued kit.
If anyone has first hand knowledge of the actual wing area and typical weights of the kits as originally done - please drop me a line
I don't need any other kit recommendations
thanks .

Thank you - The cowls and canopies are from Stan's Fibertech -so it all depends on how the model pans out -
It is almost exactly same size as my Bucker Jungmann--which with a 4,8 single weighs 18 lbs - that is goal weight for this size Ultimate .
It is all to easy to make bipes way too heavy -and this just kills em for unlimite type performance.
By the way -
The new BIG arf's can afford to be as heavy as they are -just because the size will carry more weight-- but anybody who really wants one of them to fly right- better look seriously at the new 200-210 size engines -

Stan's Fiber tech will have them available in about 8 weeks. Stan bought the molds and plugs for them and is going to have them for sale.

I have a 1997 version of the 75" Ultimate. I bought it in 1998 and have not done anything with it as it is sooo heavy. Bout broke my truss picking up the fuse. I just put it on the rework bench this evening. It seems I have lost the plans and instructions. I would like to purchase a set from you if you have them available.
I was looking at the hanger 9 and got re-excited about the big Ultimate. This one is straight and strong! It is just ugly right now.
The colors were Red white and blue in a semi Pitts sunburst design and clear (now yellow) coated. It has a Q-75XL on the nose, so it should be ok. Let me know if you need any information about my plane and hopefully I can buy a set of plans and instruction book from you. I may need a new canopy and I have the Stans fiberglass cowl in a box.

I got the plans -from Stans- also canopy and cowl-- problem is - it was designed(?) for a ST3000.
talk about a stone-
anyway- I am simply going to stretch it a bit -using none of the plans info - and do it for a 50/60- gas engine .
in order to perfom -it needs to be in the 15 lb range - 17 absolute tops -
this is entirely doable but not as originally done .
So - I guess the larger one -cowl and canopy would be fine for a 100- -I better contact Stan - or whomever has a cowl--and canopy.

Dick;
Will you have pictures on your web sight? I would like to see this one in the bones as well as finished.
I am doing the same thing with the 62 inch Ultimate. Used the Ohio Ultimate cowl.
I scaled up the CG Ultimate to be 62 inches. I hope to come in at 12 to 13 lbs.
