Well I had a rare engine failure yesterday, The CRANKPIN broke of the crankshaft on my Moki 1.35. I put a 1.60 in its place, But I don't know of what prop to use.
Any starting points for Imac flying? The plane is a Sig Cap that weighs 11.5 lbs. Also, expected RPM's would be great.
Thanks,

I use a 18x10/17x12 APC for Pattern,
with a Krumsheid pipe i get 7800 rpm.
The 18x10 has got some more pull at low speed, the 17x12 is for pattern the best, because it keeps the plane going.

I tried a bunch too and think the Mezjlik 18x8 is the best. Pro Zinger 18x8 turned much faster but didn't have as much thrust. Are you running a pump? 5 of us at the field have pumped 160's and are running the mezjlik and all get a consistant 8500 on the ground. Pro Z 18x8- 9000. Reg Z 18x8- 8000. Large APC's have a smaller area and not as much load on the engine. I don't know why, maybe to make their numbers look good. Anyway, they are more for speed instead of thrust.

How about the APC 18x6W ? Is it to little prop? It also has the Profile similar to the 17x6 and 17x8 APC (those are the props that I ran on my moki 1.35 before it broke)
Could you guys give some expected RPM's with these props? I am going to break it in on Saturday, There is a fly in on Sunday.
Thanks Again,
