My pull start is broken?
do I need to replace the whole motor?

Nope you don't. Just buy a pull start. I'd recommend buying from the manufacture which is at [link]http://www.********.co.uk/[/link] Look under engine parts.

Many people have told me to go with a pullstart because theres less to carry and its also a lot easier to tell that your engine is flooded.

and putting a drill and attachment in your toolbox isnt a lot. every rc guy should carry one anyway.
