Airborne re-starts
I have a Jet Central Rabbit SE mounted on a 6m glider. I has about 15-20 flights without issues. I can fly about 12-15 min but usually land at about 8min for safety specially if doing acrobatics under power.
My question is about the possibility of turning the engine off while thermalling, let it go through the cool down sequence and then re-start the start up sequence in mid air to regain altitude and thermal some more. I understand Jet central does not have a re-start feature after flame-outs like other manufactures advertise but in this case is not a re-start after something has gone wrong but a planned re-start, would this be acceptable, has anyone try this?

Hello Flygono
We don't have a restart function when a flameout occur for safety reasons, however you can shut down your SE turbine and restart it again as many times as you want during flight, and you don't even need to finish the cooling cycle for it.
Regards
