Default Version 4.9 ECU

I tried to download the version 4.9/5.0 manual at the JetCat USA site but all I got was an error message saying that the file was corrupted and could not be fixed. In a nutshell, what are the changes to the 4.9 version vs the 4.0 version?

TIA---Kevin

Default Hi Kevin

I still do not know why they renamed it 4.9

It is still the same as a 4.0 with different firmware.

I heard that 4.9 allows the P-120 to go to 123K RPM vs 120K RPM. Is this accurate? Can I got to 123K with 4.0?

Default A correction

I now know what the difference is for a 4.0 to a 4.9

The 4.9 is a 4.0 that has the clock crystal changed from 18 MHz to 4.9 Mhz. This lowers any potential emissions to a level about even with the left overs from the "Big Bang" :-)

Anyway, the update to the 4.9, including crystal, a couple new caps and the latest firmware is $19.95, including shipping.

Now to Sean's question about the RPM.

All 4.9 ECUs allow 123K Max RPM for a P-120. Some (if not most) of the 4.0's also allow it. Some do not, and it is not linked to any particular firmware release.

Therefore an update to 4.9 will provide 123K Max RPM. But I want to stress that many 4.0's already go this high. Just check the limits menu and see if the Max RPM will go to 123K. Simple.

Thanks

Matt,
