Default Cool Down Timer?

Hi Matt,

I was wondering if there is some sort of timer associated with Cool Down - like the temp must remain below 100c for so many seconds before cool down is considered to be complete?

The reason I ask is because on a number of occasions I would shut the switches off after I thought Cool Down was complete. But the next time I went to start, the ECU would spin the turbine and let it stop like it was still in cool down mode. Then it would spin up again and switch to Ignition mode - kinda like it thought that the last cool down cycle had not yet completed.

Thanks in advance,

Len

Default RE: Cool Down Timer?

Hi Len,

There is not a timer, rather a temperature cut off. If you turn the ECU on and the current temp is above the set point it will start cooling, as you saw.

The set point is 90 or 93 degrees C I think
