Question. I was running my new P-120 and after an auto shut down, I had a continuous beeping coming from the engine, not from the ECU.
First off, am I hearing things? or is this really coming from the ECU and not the engine ( I am positive it came from the engine)
Second, What is this notifying me of, I could not find anything in the manual concerning this...
Thanks,
Kevin

Matt,
Its the same beeps as the start up beeps, but just a steady "beep-beep-beep".
Whan you say " all beeps come from the motor". Are you saying that the ECU does not generate the tones?
At the time of the beeping, none of the LED's were lit..
Thnaks for the help, I will give JETCAT a call...

Ok, you heard a series of beeps, not a continuous tone, that is good.........and yes, the "motor" generates the tones :-)
When you were starting did you notice that all of the LEDs were working (the "chase" was correct, and the green LED was flashing during the sequence?

Matt,
The sequence was working. Before I advanced the thrrottle to start, the LEDs were doing the Green-Red-Yellow dance.
And when it was starting, each LED was lighting to represent the respective stage of starting.
I just ran the engine a few more times and did not get the beeps???
Maybe I am going loony, to much Kero Fumes

Matt,
I have three years on my AMT's. Been great engines but wanted to try soemthing new. I think the JetCat will prove just as reliable. I have been pleased so far...I can't wait to get this second Eagle airborn and ready for the Missouri Valley jet rally...
Thanks for the feed back...

If you have a version 4.0 ECU and unplug the I/O board and GSU, it will continuously beep. Also, if the Glow head is bad, it will beep but the red LED will flash as well. Sometimes hard to see!

I also got the continous "beep". It was telling me the plug was burned out. Happened after I bumped the plug voltage up .1-.2 volts. It was already set at the maximum for the type plug I was using...
