If I want to save a channel on the rx. and start the engine by cycling the sticks, is it enough to just ignore the aux lead? Or do I need to get into the menu and instruct the ECU for NON-AUX operation (if any such mode exists). I have done bench running with no aux channel lead connected and works ok..engine starts with trim and stick cycling method. just want to be sure if ECU needs to be re-programmed.

Hi Anurag,

If it is a version 4.9R or later ECU, you just unplug the AUX connector from the receiver and relearn RC, the single channel mode is automatically detected.

Its an old 4.00L

On the old 4.0 ECU's, the only way to disable the AUX channel is through the menu which can be accessed through the GSU.
