P-180 Question

Hello,
The P-180 is 4.72 inches in diameter.
I checked the AMT NL website and the Pegusus is listed as 4.7" and the Olympus at 5.1".
I am running the P-180 in a BVM Pegusus bypass and it runs great. I do however have a mount made specifically for the P-180
Hope that helps,
Matt

I run both a P-180 and a Pegasus NL...AMT USA Pegasus is identical size as well.....I use BVM #559 straps for both of them.........no significant difference between the 2 motors...BV does ship those straps with the large bypass option on the UltraBandit to be used either for 180 or Pegasus....I do use the steel shims that BV ships with the straps to fine tune them.....the motor cases are fine tune honed, but BV's straps can be oversized by few thou.....

Johnny,
Here's the numeric value: The P-120 and Titan are 4.37" in diameter. That's .38 (3/8") less than the P-180.
Matt and Tom answered the rest.

Sorry to ask this on a off topic question Mr Matt, as like what jetflyer 24 say P180 and P120 this bring me to a question. If my tail pipe are for 36lbs thrust can I used it on the P180 which is 580*C to 720*C will it be too hot to handle or the area of the pipe is too small to used on P180?

Hi X-spec,
You can try your existing pipe, but X pounds of thrust in the static test are not always the same when flying, the operation is much different in the dynamic case. Do you already have a pipe and/or bypass in mind for your design? If so you can test it pretty easily and I can help assist you with any changes you might need. Be sure the pipe can take the pressure and the heat, I saw a pipe fail on Saturday, and it was devistating to the plane! Only the second pipe I have seen fail in 10 years, so it is rare, but something to be careful of nonetheless!
Tam designed a pipe for me for a P-180 in a Bandit and it worked quite well, he really knows his stuff so if you need any special pipe designes or changes I recommend Tam 100%.
