Matt,
I hope there is an error in your post:

Idle to 1/2 maybe 2 seconds, idle to full maybe less than 1 second.
Guess you mean idle to 1/2 2 seconds, and 1/2 til full less than 1 second ?

I'm very interested in that, have just received a P60SE for my new BVM Bandit ARF, I now it might be marginal with the P60SE for grass operation, but the P60's weight (and the -SE) is nice...

It would be nice with a table showing the spool up/down time for the different JetCat engines, I know some of them are in different tests/reviews, but it sure would be nice if JetCat had the info on the website together with all the other specs ?

Regards,
Carsten

Default RE: spool up time

boy I have really messed these 2 posts up!

What I MEANT to say was:

idle to "stabilized" 50% thrust power, 2 seconds.

From "stabilized" 50% thrust power to full thrust power less than 1 second.

It is tricky to measure JetCat turbines by RPM, as the control loops might take a bit of time to achieve and display a stabilized RPM. Thrust is the true "tale of the tape" and it very fast on an SE technology turbine.

Regards,

Matt,
understood, but what I was after, is a table of the trust as compared to "time", there is something like that listed in reviews of the P160SE, and it would be nice if that was listed somewhere "central" for all the engines, the best place would be the JetCat spec sheets ?
