I will be changing the whole motor assembly on my P80 this weekend and would like to know if anybody has any tips for the installation. I would like to know if I have to epoxy in the electric motor in the housing. And what is the best spacing for the bendix of the electric motor.

Hi Kelly,
The clearance of the starter oring to the compressor nut should be about 2mm, with the clutch disengaged.
The real trick is getting the copper connector wires unsoldered and out of the way without breaking them. ROTATE them out of the way, don't pull them straight back and up! They will break!
Good luck.
