Mr. Matt:
I have two original P-120's I plan on using in tandem (twin) jet. One is Serial #892 and has a soft case ECU with V4.9T firmware. The second is Serial #762 and has a hard case ECU with V5.00x firmware.
My questions are: 1) Can both of these ECU's be brought up to the same version of firmware so they can operate togetherin a twin arrangement? and 2) Can they be updated to work with A123 batteries?
Thanks in advance for your answers. I am hoping not to have to buy a new ECU...
Also, could you also please check with Bob and PM me with a cost estimate?
Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick,
The short answer is yes you can do this, no new ECUs are needed. You could even run them together now, but with the latest optimized acceleration setting (firmware), they will run together in a twin better.
As for the A123 mod, I am sure your 4.xx version needs a new power circuit board, and I am 95% sure the 5.xx will need it as well (the older boards cannot be modified).
This is US$90 per ECU, and the software update is included, and the 4.9 will get a new hard case as well.
What are you putting it in? I have a twin on the board but I don't think I will get to it until I get my youngest through college (she is 2)
Regards,

Thanks, Matt.
I have ordered a FEJ A-10 (we will have to see if I actually receive it....) BTW Both of my kids are out of college as of last year (yes) and I still have a job with the Bank!
One last question, can I just send Bob the ECU's or must I send in the engines too?
