P180 rx error on power on
Hi All
My P180 that was starting reliably after many starts, but has started failing on start-up., at various points wil low RPM error so just working through the issue but I am also getting an issue at power on.. Initially it recognises the Turbine type 'Digital power bus P180 RX Rdy' then 2 seconds later gives an error, ' Eng Unknown connected V7.7, any one else seen this isssue or thoughs? thanks Simon |
First thing I'd do is unplug everything and plug it back in making sure everything is tight and clean.

Particularly the throttle lead both ends.
Press Limit button and while holding press + What is U Accl 1? |
Thanks will work through giving all a good clean.
U-acc 1 is 0.075 |
Ok. That’s low. Change value key and make it 0.120 or 0.150

D So Removed from aircraft onto the test stand different receiver and throttle lead, relearn... Check same failure Yes Clean all connectors etc and First increased to 0.12 and then 0.150... both fail to start... Low rpm Limited Telemetry through a Xicoy FC...for some reason Pump is not reporting via FC... But is running and starting to ramp up when error occurs. All failed starts seem to not be able to get passed about 5K on the RPM/EGT 190 before error occurs. Have a plot but cannot upload at the moment due to limited posts! thanks deg Simon |
Can you run the pump on the GSU test function? Change Value and +/- to go up and down voltage from 0.5v. It should follow freely and pump good fuel up to 4.0v
|
Yes no problem there good fuel o/p all the way,
|
Keep increasing the Ur Accel 1 figure in steps and see if it starts. If you get to 0.225 stop…
|
Ok so no luck, still low RPM, fuel is increasing as more flame being generated
Starter does not seem to start the ramp up beyond the 4-5K... is there any way to check the starter thanks Simon |
5K is about the limit for the starter motor…it should be starting to generate by then
