DX8 Throttle stick problem
#26
It's a combination of sensitivities and power levels of both transmitter and receiver, as well as environmental effects.
RF is black magic, especially at this frequency band.

Even after you bind, don't power up too close to your TX... it causes problems with the small BNF Helis / Aircraft

Hi Andy,
I did some testing this weekend.
My DX8 needs to be more than 3 feet away to bind when it's in DMSX mode.
It will bind at any distance when in DMS2 mode.
I then tried 2 different DX8 from friends and a DX7s and DX5 all in DSMX mode at 2 inches away from the receiver and they all bound on the first try.
I have asked other friends with DX8s to try this and get back with me so I can have more data.
Andy will you please explain why my DX8 is doing this when others don’t?
JUSY FYI.
The AR600, AR7600 User Guide, page 4 (Binding) never mentions a distance for binding.
The AR6210 User Guide never mentions a distance for binding.
The DX8 Instruction Manual, page 11 never mentions a distance for binding.
The only place that address distance is on page 35 in the Troubleshooting Guide.
• Your transmitter and receiver are too close together. They should be 8 to 12 feet apart.

They are constantly updating the boilerplate stuff, and the last one I saw had something along those lines. When they make new manuals that kind of stuff is automatic.
