Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.

The latest version is 2.0 and can be found on iTunes. The play back will only show which ever 2 items you want displayed. However, on a replay you can choose a different pair.

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.
Thanks, that explains why I saw only two gauges displaying!
I guess that there is insufficient cpu power to show all the data at once in playback.

I should have been clearer, the orange circle appears only for short times, I suspect it does when files are being created.
When you do playback, does it display all the stored data, i.e. altitude, speed, rpm, temperature, and receiver voltage, as it happened during the flight?
I downloaded the software about a month ago, where is version id displayed?
thanks!

By playback you mean "replay" and yes during replay all gauges(that are selected as visible on setup page) and stats screen should be displayed just as if the flight was currently in progress.Press the button on the top right that says "controls" and a progress bar will appear so you can correlate what your seeing to the progress of the file(time).
When you use the "graph" function you can only graph 2 items a a time.It would be really cluttered of you had more.
The version is displayed in the iDevice itself.Homepage/Settings/General/Usage/Spektrum STi

You have instructions right here if theres something you cant figure out by pushing buttons until you get a result.

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.
A = remote A (internal on all but a couple rx)
B = remote B
L = Left remote
R = Right remote
F = Frame losses (no antenna saw a particular frame of data)
H = Holds (a hold is one second with no signals from any antenna)
See the manual for the Flight Log http://www.horizonhobby.com/pdf/SPM9540-Manual.pdf

Got a email today that my GPS telemetry module is on its way to my house. My DX8 has been updated and set for the GPS, but nothing about an update for the Sti Apps. Hope it comes soon.

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.
I've only posted a few times to RC universe but felt compelled to this time. There are wonderful things about telemetry I find usefull. The ability to view voltage drop graphically after a flight is priceless. How anyone could think it is not useful information is beyond me.
However, I found it frustrating to figure the process out due to some serious lack of documentation.
I would simply LOVE the ability to export the flight data to Excel. This would provide an easy way to help calculate mAH used for a day of flying. I asked the support at Horizon BEFORE I purchased my iPhone module. I was told (and this is a quote), " I think it's possible".
To all the PC users moaning about how they are never going to purchase an Apple product - you are obviously gluten for punishment. I have a high end Mac at work and can count on 1 hand the number of times it has frozen up in 3 years. Oh wait, I don't need a hand - it has never locked up. Can you say the same about a PC?

Yep, sure can. Running Windows Vista Ultimate now for roughly 6 years. No problems, no freezes, no crashes. Retired IT tech from Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

I don't know if Chuck Bassini will include a section on telemetry but I
Found his last version manual to be excellent. It's always with me
On every trip to the field.
How bout it CB? Need inputs in a word document. I'm sure there
Are folks on this thread that would help

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.
Ideally, I'd like to see an export/email feature. Done flying? Hit send then when you get home you have a csv Excel file waiting. It would be easy to then build a graph to depict just about any parameter - just like the iPhone app does now. The difference would be the ability to graph multiple flights at once. A bonus would be the ability to add text notes about a flight. Tune the engine differently? Make a note, see the graphical difference.
Thank you all in advance to anyone willing to make this so.
An even cooler idea: upload your data to a website for comparison to others.

I am now comfortable with the STi interface, but I do not understand what information is pesented ina graph of flight log.
All I see are occasional spikes with different amplitdes.
thanks in advance.

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.
If it is a 7010 dont be too terribly concerned.The fade data from L isnt as accurate as you would think.They will boot up at 256.I kind of gave up on trying to be too concerned even if the L data went to the thousands.Alot of Frames or a Hold is a problem.I dont have any problems there so I just fly it and dont worry.
Alot of the spikes on the graph on L is normal for now.Well not normal but whatever the heck its showing isnt a problem in itself.Thats what Ive found so far.Something about the 7010.

The reason I don't buy Apple products goes back many years.
With the mac's, the ops system became "closed".
Apple wants a piece of any App software you develop after you buy the development system from them..

got my GPS module for the telemetry on the DX8 and STi. Plugged it in, did a re-bind of the system, GPS worked just great. Tried it first in the living room. Worked OK. Took model outside, worked great. No waiting for the Sti Apps update.

Thanks Andy. Did that, added to telemetry menu. Just my habit to rebind with any change to the configuration. Waiting on the Apps update for the Sti.

I have a strange thing happening with my TM1000. Just tried to bind it to my JR921 RX. If I plug it into the Data port the RX doesn't go into bind mode, however if I plug it into the Batt/Bind port things seem to work fine. I get telemetry from both Batt1/Bind and Batt2/Data! Is this all a bit strange?
