Are you sure you are using the correct Satellite receivers? A DSMX receiver needs DSMX Satellite receivers, not DSM2 Satellite receivers. Some people have made that mistake.

100% sure.. my AR8000 is DSM2 and i got several spektrum RX and they are DSM2. i still don't use an DSMX. but view hour a go i tested with DSMX satelite AR7010 belongs to my Friend it works. my friend says AR8000 need i High resolutions frequency. but i don't believed. because my opinion All kind DSM2equipment Must be Compatible to DSM2 like JR radio who using and DSM technology
thank u

When I have a problem I like it when someone responds back quickly, so I try to do the same when someone else asks a question.
Thanks!!
Do you have a DX8 transmitter? I do not, so I can only help with basic information. I own two JR XP9303 Tx's so I am more familiar with that programming.
I see the AR8000 is a DSM2 receiver and I was just suggesting that you make sure you are not using the wrong Satellite receivers with it and that might be causing the Binding problems.
Make sure you have at least one Satellite receiver connected to the main Rx.
Try putting the Bind Plug in the Batt/Bind port and connect just one servo to a Servo port and the battery to another Servo port. This keeps it simple and eliminates any other variables.
Follow the Bind procedure with that setup and see if it works.
Thanks!!

Which TX are you using? The AR8000 is DMSX.

Perhaps there is an earlier and later version of the AR8000?
Horizon has it listed as DSMX. I know it will work with both DMS2 and DSMx transmitters, but you need the correct Satellite Rx's.

It first cropped up after the release of the DX8 and AR8000 when guys tried to use older satellite rx's with the AR8000, it was kind of explained away at the time by saying the AR8000 was "high speed" and needed the appropriate satellite. The situation is further confused by the fact that there's no obvious difference between the satellites on earlier models, only the part number will tell you which is which and I don't have those numbers handy or I'd list 'em for 'ya. Later models of the satellites have a large "X" molded into the case which is easy to see.
For the OP; sorry but it doesn't matter what you think. DSMX capable rx's and satellites MUST be run together and that combination can run in DSM2 or DSMX mode, DSM2 capable rx's and satellites MUST be run together and that combination will run in DSM2 mode using either a DSM2 or DSMX capable tx.

That is what I originally thought, but why does that manual I posted indicate it is only DSM2? It made me think there was another version in Europe.

Didn't the DX8 come out in DSM2 then get upgraded via a firmware release? Thats probably where that manual came from.
I can see the confusion though because the pictures in the manual show it as DSM2 as well but the pictures on the Horizon web site show it with the X on it.
Either way, thats whats going on with the OP

All AR8000's are DSMX, all AR600's are DSMX, and all AR6255's are DSMX - even though older units only say DSM2.

RE: Need Help AR8000
Your DX7 is of course DSM2. It will work with any DSM2 or DSMX receiver because all DSMX receivers are backwardly compatible with DSM2 transmitters.
DSMX transmitters, like the DX8, will work with any DSM2 or DSMX receiver, because the programming in the DSMX transmitter allows you to switch from DSMX mode to DSM2 mode depending upon which receiver you are using.
Andy Kunz has said that all AR8000 receivers are DSMX, whether or not they have a DSM2 sticker on them. They are still compatible with DSM2 transmitters, like your DX7. You just have to be careful and make sure that you only use DSMX Satellite receivers with DSMX receivers like the AR8000. If you do not use DSMX Satellite receivers with your AR8000, it will not Bind.
Do you know for sure that the Satellie receivers you are using with your AR8000 are DSMX?

RE: Need Help AR8000
If you connect your older DSM2 Satellite Rx to your AR8000, it should not work. You need to use a DSMX satellite Rx.
As Andy and others have said, the Satellite receivers are not necessarily marked so that you can tell which ones are DSM2 and DSMX. You should have received a DSMX Satellite receiver with your AR8000.

RE: Need Help AR8000
Use the remote receiver that came with your DX8.
Make sure when you put it into bind mode that both are blinking. If not, you may need to replace the wire connecting them.
