Rpm sensor for electronic ignition
I'm getting parts together to do a 110 Rascal with a gas engine that has an tach output lead.
I could have sworn Specktrum had a way to attach that to the telemetry module, but now can't find it?
I thought it would be cleaner and more elegant than the optical rpm sensor...

RE: Rpm sensor for electronic ignition
The Spektrum SPMA9569 will work in some circumstances but not others.
It works just fine on my NGH GT17 with a front carb but due to the way it functions (mounts on the rear of the engine) it will not work on my rear-carb DLE-20.
What a number of us are waiting for it an interface that will plug into an electronic ignition tachometer output. I did see a schematic that some guy was going to build using some opto-isolators but I never saw if he was able to test his design. Many electronic ignition modules either have a tach output or a "Y" can be installed in the hall effect wiring.
I'm hoping that Spektrum will release a product that will do this.

RE: Rpm sensor for electronic ignition
I just read through a thread on a different forum (FG) about this issue.
Although Horizon told someone something they thought would work (but didn't), I haven't found an answer yet.
One would think that it would make a great add-on for Spektrum.

If you do a search over at that other forum for "DLE-30v2 tachometer feed" you can find the schematic I mentioned earlier. (it is supposed to work with the Graupner Hott telemetry module).
