Default TM1000 can it be plugged in the 9th channel with DX8

Ok guys. I'm building 3 TopFlite Gaint WarBirds

i think I really need a DX18 but I don't have that kind if $$ right now.

so my question. I'm useing a AR9000 in my P47 and I would like to use the TM1000 to monitor reciver voltage and maybe RPM

So even thow my DX8 only has 8 channels will it still work?

also I'm useing AR8000 in the othere 2 birds. All channels are full, so can it still work in the Data port?

thanks Mike

The TM1000 needs to be connected to the Data port if you want to see Flight Log data (Fades, Frame Losses, Holds). For all Telemetry Sensors, you can use any Servo port or the Data port. On Spektrum receivers without Data ports, you connect to a Servo port and will not see Flight Log data.

Thanks.

I just tested it out. You can put a Y harnes on that dat/batt port with the TM1000 and 1 of my 6.6 live reciver packs and it works great

I do not know why I thought it would not work if all 8 channels were full

How dose one test there signal strength/frame loss?

All 9 servo ports as well as the Bat/Data port share the same Power Bus so the Rx battery can be connected to any port on the receiver. If there is a servo connected to all servo ports, you can use a Y Harness to connect an Rx battery and a servo to the same servo port. The TM1000 can pick up the Rx battery voltage from the Bat/Data port or any other servo port including Ch9. The TM1000 is Bound to the Tx just like the Rx. It transmits all the Sensor Data to the Tx and gets power from the Rx. The TM1000 needs to be connected to the Data port to collect and transmit Flight Log data.

Can you measures RPM on 2 motors as per a twin motor set up B25?

From what I have read, that is not possible at this time with Spektrum Telemetry.

Not at this time, but we've got the request in our database.
