Default Power of JR transmitters

We are in Hong Kong, some of us are using the JR gears. Does the JR transmitters with module 40Mhz and 35Mhz pass the European 100mW ERP power limit? Reason for asking is our Hong Kong authority has limited the the power of transmitters to 100mW, they claimed that this is the European standard and they should have no mistake to follow as it is the International standards. We though all JR transmitters has power close to 750mW, so we are arguing with the authority, but we need some data to support us.

In US systems the output is around 750mW as you state, but I'm not sure about those bands and other countries systems. Mac_Man_UK may have more information on this. I'll send him a message with a link to this thread and see if he has any further information that can help you out.

The RF output in Europe is 100 mW ERP, if the equipment passes all the tests etc, then the CE mark is affixed to the kit. The JR RF Module ( 35 & 40 MHz ) are approved.

The set has to conform to the European Directive and to be honest, it is a nightmare trying to find the relevant documents. I shall try and find the document or the website link.

This may take me some time !!

Found the relevant site.

www.ero.dk/doc98/official/pdf/rec7003e.pdf and the relevant part is annex 8 (Model Control) on page 39.
