Default 8103/F400 programming

Hi,
I am just starting out and have a JR8103 (2002 vintage) and using a JR
F400 as a buddy box. The throttle stick on the 8103 has full range of
movement and motor will idle with the trim at midpoint, shut off with
the trim all the way down and fast idle with the trim all the way up.
The motor will shut off when the F400 throttle is at midpoint, trim all
the way up and trainer switch activated. (Activating the trainer switch
moves the servo from the idle position to a shutoff position)
What is the best way to program the 8103 so that it matches the F400?
Using the program mix or dual rate functions perhaps? Offset in program
mix doesn't seem to do it.
Thanks

Default RE: 8103/F400 programming

If you have a large amount of sub trim, or have the travel adjst values changed from 100%, these will not transfer over to the F400. To correct this, set your travel adjusts to 100%, and sub trim to zero, and mechanically set up the throttle such that it centers and throws the correct amounts. To get more travel go out on the servo arm, for less travel go in on the servo arm. Also you can get more travel by going in on the throttle arm on the carb, and less by going out.
