8103 Flap Setup
Hey Danny,
I tried to figure this out on my own without bothering you, but I can't.
I want to set up my flaps on the landing switch with half flaps in the middle position and full flaps in the bottom position. I also need to use two channels mixed together so I can reverse one of the servos.
If possible I would also like to use 2 channels for ailerons so I can get some differential.
Is all this possible? If so, how? If not, I can live with the ailerons on a Y-harness.
Thanks,
Alan

RE: 8103 Flap Setup
This set up will be much simpler in glider mode. To do this, set your model type to glider, then set the wing type to Dual Flap, and in the Flap IN. menu set it to FLP.SW+P6. All those functions are in the system menu, press and hold the up and down keys together and turn the power switch on. Then to complete the flap switch set up follow these instructions:

Then go to the D/Flat T. menu in the function list and set these to INH to eliminate the pots from affecting the channels if so desired. Your ailerons will plug into channels 2 and 5, and your flaps into channels 6 and 7.

RE: 8103 Flap Setup
Thanks a lot Danny. I'll try that this afternoon.
One more question, which channel will I then use for retracts? And, how should that be set up?
Thanks,
Alan

RE: 8103 Flap Setup
I followed the same instructions as the link above, but couldn't get the quad flap to work properly on my Ultrastick.
After talking to a few different reps at JR, I was told to use Prog. mix #5 or #6.
Using mix #5 worked for me, the offset value became the -222 instead of the -171 of mix #3 or #4.
So if you have any problems, then try using mix #5, by the way I don't remember if I tried mix #6 or not.
Good luck
