Default PCM 9X/9303 Programmable Mix

Hi Danny,

When I try to allocate/select a switch for a progammable mix with my PCM 9X, I can only view four switches AIL DR, EL DR, RUD DR and MIX. I can not see the switches of the AUX channels. In both the Horizon and McGregor manuals this is possible. I don't think that there is only one switch available for mixing if you consider that the DR switches will be used by default. If this is the case this Tx is useless for advanced flying.

Can you please help me in this matter?

Regards,

Nick

Default RE: PCM 9X/9303 Programmable Mix II

Danny or Mac Man please help,

When I try to allocate/select a switch for a progammable mix with my PCM 9X, I can only view four switches AIL DR, EL DR, RUD DR and MIX. I can not see the switches of the AUX channels. In both the Horizon and McGregor manuals this is possible. I don't think that there is only one switch available for mixing if you consider that the DR switches will be used by default. If this is the case this Tx is useless for advanced flying.

I also can not change the position of the switches. For example when I change the Gear to RUD DR, the change does not take place. Also I can not disable the flap trim switch.

I have one of the very first PCM 9Xs came in the market about a year ago. It was brought directly from Japan. Do you think that it needs a software update or something?

Looking forward to your replies,

Regards Nick

You can get more options if you activate flight modes. If flight modes aren't active, you will only get the choices you have mentioned. Having flight modes active, it will add the flight modes to the switch options of the mixes.

Default PCM 9X/9303 Programmable Mix Scenario

Thanks Danny. With the flight modes in 9X not 9303 you can use either the Flap Switch on the left or the AUX2 switch on the right, which both have three separate positions thus you can have 3 separate settings but not simultaneously. For example you can not use the Gear switch for mixing which is quite sad for my point ov view.

Consider the following scenario:

Mix Switch allocated to EL FLAP MIX

AUX POS1 allocatd to RUD EL MIX

AUX POS2 allocated to RUD AIL MIX

As you can see you don'thave much flexibility to use the RUD to EL MIX and RUD AIL MIX siumultaneously because it is the same switch (3 positions). If I could allocate on of the last mixes to the gear I would have this flexibility. The solution I have is to allocate both mixes to the same position POS O, 1 or 2. But in this case I will to live with both of them activated or non activated. The Glider Mode one the other hand provides more choices in the selection of the switches. You can also use the Gear switch for mixing.

Is there any method to activate the Gear switch for mixing in the Acro mode. My TRX is an Aero one, I guess that there must be such such functionality.

Looking forward to your reply,

Regards,

Nick

I don't have any info on that on the 9X, and I don't have one available to look at to help out there.
