I don't have any information on this as 40 Mhz is not a legal band in the US. I would recommend contacting Rossi at 39-030-252-1728 for further assistance.

pizzo,
Can I ask where you bought it from? If you bought it from the Far East or Japan, it may not be legal due to the frequencies used.
For frequencies you can refer to this FAQ site which shows both the European and Japanese 40MHz bands.
http://www.macgregor.co.uk/faq/faq.htm
From the the channel numbers you give, it is an 8 channel Japanese Receiver and as such is illegal in Europe !

RE: JR XS3 40 mhz channels and frequency
Thanks for answers!
I bought it on Ebay from Honk kong,
In Italy 40 Mhz are legal, but the legal channels are different if comparison with
far east ones (therefore..in Italy are Illegal..[]) .
FOR Mac_Man_UK:
1) on my reiceiver i have only 8 channels? on rx are write 61 to 75!
You confirm that my channels are only this?
61 40.610 40.155
63 40.630 40.175
65 40.650 40.195
67 40.670 40.215
69 40.690 40.235
71 40.710 40.255
73 40.730 40.275
75 40.750 40.295
between 61 and 63 isn't 62?
..sorry for the questions but i have a lot of confusion in my mind..[]
Thanks

RE: JR XS3 40 mhz channels and frequency
Hi pizzo,
I have had this query before and had to speak to JR in Japan for clarification. The FE ( far east ) channel assignments are different to the European legal frequencies.
That chart came from JR and shows their Channel number, Transmit Frequency and the Receiver Crystal Frequency. Apparantly their channels are 20KHz spaced, their numbering scheme relates directly to the frequency. So a 61 = 40.61MHz, 63 = 40.63MHz etc.
Unfortunately you have bought something that you cannot use, the dealer should NOT have sold that to you as he should have been aware of the difference frequencies in use.
I would contact him regarding return and refund.

RE: JR XS3 40 mhz channels and frequency
Thanks,
if I understand well, you tell me that my radio kit is illegal in Europe
so i can't use it.
This is a little problem, in the circuits there are a lot of people that use a illegal
frequency...
This is a image of my receiver http://www.funnytoyz.com/catalog/eba...r_rs310_40.jpg
Now i hope that this frequency is not susceptible of
interference with other 40 mhz frequency.
If you think that this is intersting i can make some tests and later post the result on forum.
Thanks

RE: JR XS3 40 mhz channels and frequency
Pizzo,
Looking at the Italian frequency assignments,
http://www.ukrcc.org/italy.html
It seems to show that your equipment is actually out of the allocated band and would therefore not interfere with the legitimate channels. However, you do run the risk of interfering with other legitimate users of the 40MHz band, not knowing how the authorities in Italy would view these infringements makes it difficult.
I would say that legally, you must not use the equipment if bought from the FE.
This is always a problem of sourcing equipment from outside your geograhical region.
