Default 8103 and trim offset

Hi Danny,

I've got an 8103 with digital trims and am having a problem switching between models. I have to readjust the trim each time. Reading the manual it tells me to use the trim offset function but when I go into the function menus there is no trim offset function there. It's supposed to be between the flap pot and differential but there is nothing between the two. What am I missing? It's very annoying to have to adjust trims every time I switch.

Thanks for your help

Bob

OK, after doing some searching, I find its not supposed to have trim offset. Why then, I wonder, does it change after switching to a different model...

The trims are automatically stored for each model in the digital trim 8103 oustide of the throttle of course. Is there a chance that you are switching model types and not the actual model, and reseting the model, say going from aircraft to heli in say model one and not actually switching to say model 2? Are you losing any other programming?

Thanks for the reply, I believe I've discovered the problem. It has been hot at the field and I think the control rods are expanding.

BigBird007,

I am experiencing the same problem with my 8103. I would like to set my elevator trim offset on my 3M sailplane. The manual shows where the trim offset should be, but I cannot locate it in the menu. What am I missing here? Is there or is there not a trim offset available? Can you help?

The trims are automatically stored for each model in the digital trim 8103 oustide of the throttle of course. If you have a mechanical trim 8103, the trim offset function will be present, if it is the digital trim 8103, it will not.

Danny,

Thanks for the clarification. I do have the digital trim 8103.
