783 radio--six servo sailplane set up...
I just spent a couple of VERY frustrating hours trying to set up my "full house" sailplane .
I get almost everything working well, EXCEPT...how do you program the camber and reflex to go on the 3-position switch on the front left of the transmitter?
I have the flaps working on the throttle stick(work fine), but when I try to get the entire trailing edge to reflex and camber on the switch, I just do not get it!
Even had the ailerons reflexing up and down correctly, but can't get the flaps to move with the ailerons together using the 3 position switch.
This is the "aircraft" version of the radio, with the sailplane stickers applied to the switches, in "glider" mode.
Seems like in time past, I recall there was a problem with the aileron channels were reversed or something, maybe flaps also???
Would appreciate some advice, this has been my favorite radio for several years, maybe the brain cells are dying off at a faster rate!!

what exactly is not happening correctly?
are the flaps going the opposite direction?
doing nothing?
need to know what is going on to help..
you can e-mail me at [email protected] for maybe faster response..

Stumper...
Hi Stumper.
I guess I should have been a little clearer.
The flaps do not move at all when I use the reflex/camber switch.
The AILERONS do reflex up when I move the switch up, and camber downward when I move the switch down--and stay neutral with the switch in the middle.
But, it seems no matter what I try in programming, I cannot get the FLAPS to move WITH the ailerons when I try to use the reflex/camber switch.
The flaps DO move up and down (flaps only) when I use the throttle/spoiler/flap stick.
Hope this makes a little more sense!!
I like leaving the ??'s and answers' here on the forum, might help other dummies like me!!
THANK YOU!

you gave me enough insight to start giving ideas...
sounds like you need to add flap travel into the equation...
once we get you on the right path here you might find you'll change some settings you already have...
first... in your model set-up mode the flap sw should be FL+L5...
rethink the fact that the flaps should move WITH the ailerons when you use the 3-pos switch... that switch is your flap switch... you can go to the individual servo travel adjustments and get movement each way by adding to the value on ch. #6 & 7 (your flap channel. should take a higher value for your launch pre-set... a smalll value for reflex...
ailerons move with flaps via the fl-ail mix...
experiment from here & let me know how this goes...
again you can e-mail me direct if you wish..

Thanks Stumper,
I will play with the set up tomorrow, and will let you know how it does.
Appreciate the help!

Joy in Mudville!!
I found the problem!!
After messing around with the programming again this morning,(and if anything, getting deeper into trouble!) I found the cause of my flap camber/reflex problem!
I have a new hitec 7-channel receiver I am using, and in the course of plugging all my servos in, somehow I ended up plugging one of the flaps into the throttle channel!!
Talk about frustrating! I have used this transmitter for several "full house" sailplanes before, and could not for the life of me figure what I was doing wrong.
Guess the moral of the story is: if things just do not seem to be working right, DOUBLE CHECK all the hook-ups!!
I could have saved a few hours of head scratching if I had looked at my receiver and servo leads to see if they all were in their correct plugs.
Thanks for trying to help out Stumper, appreciate it very much!
