9303 peak charging
I have recently purchased a larger capacity battery pack for my 9303 and would prefer to peak charge using my FMA Supernova charger. I was wondering if I could simply make a cord using the one form the JR wall charger and use it to charge the battery directly rather than remove it every time? If so, according to my manual, the center pin is negative. I'd just like to confirm this.
Thanks,
Dave

RE: 9303 peak charging
Thanks Danny, most appreciated. I have one more question for you though. The battery pack I'm using is a 2100mah NiMh. How much current can I safely push through the charging jack on the tx without risking blowing anything?
Thanks again,
Dave

RE: 9303 peak charging
I recommend charging at 1 amp or below. The slower you charge, the deeper the charge will be in the battery. I'd recommend a C/10 rate whenever possible and use a faster charge only when necessary.

RE: 9303 peak charging
Thanks again Danny. I usually charge at 1/10C as you recommended, however there are times when I want a quick top off. I just wanted to know the limit of the radio in this respect. I'd hate to let some smoke out. Love this radio!
Thanks again,
Dave
