Default JR 7202

I justy got a new 7202. I was very disappointed when I turned it on and I wanted to set it up to transmit on my favorite channel: 13. It only knows channels 15 and up. What's wrong with channels 11, 12, 13 and 14?

Default RE: JR 7202

I believe JR doesn't use channels below 15 in their receivers due to the single conversion design, sounds like the TX is designed to be compatible with their RX philosophy.

I like the thought of the single conversion receivers, speaking as a radio designer (not RC equipment). Two less crystals to worry about in the airborne environment (the 2nd LO crystal and the 10.7 MHz crystal filter).. so I guess I'll have to stay above 15...

Correct, channels 11-14 are unavailable in JR equipment with the exception of only the synthesized module and R2000 dual conversion receiver. All other JR equipment is available on 15-60.
