DX7 ????
I've read of all the different type of RF interference this system deals
with and works around, but does it work well with planes (composite)
that use carbon fiber in their construction? Thanks!

RE: DX7 ????
Yes, it works fine in composite models. Of course you must range test, and range test in various directions etc. We have done significant testing of the system in many composite models and the performance has been very good.

RE: DX7 ????
crfabbro1,
My plane is the ParkZone Stryker F-27 which is a foam plane.
But for your information, I have put roughly 14 feet of Carbon Fiber Tubes and Carbon Fiber Strips on it with a ton of 20 minute Epoxy and a 1/2 roll of 3M Extreme tape.
I have had 6 flights so far with power ranging from 800+W 100+MPH to 1300+watts 125+MPH without even the slightest hickup or throttle surge of anytype.
I am running UBEC and OPTO Isolator as well. MY 35Amp rated brushless motor is running at 65A to 95Amp on 3S and 4S lipoly.
I read about C.F. signal attenuation(spelling?) some where after the fact, but oh well...It sure does not effect me one bit.

RE: DX7 ????
Several of us watched as a Stinger w/ a Brison gas engine on Mon "lost" it's connect with it's new DX-7 radio. Crashed. Still in "lost" connection with transmitter as it was bench tested. Horizon has it(recieved Thurs) and is testing at this time. No battery problem, no servo problem, no pilot problem. I am rethinking my installation in my Helicopter until it is resolved. I do hope it is one out of thousands that is defective. PS, Horizen is replacing his system( radio)
