Default Changing channels on 8103 tx and rx

Danny,

I know you've been asked this before but I need a definitive answer.

I am using an 8103 on channel 19 with PCM 649 receiver. I have recently found out that channel 19 is an unusable channel at my club (DFW area) due to a TV station and beeper interference. I want to change the channel to the upper end, say channel 47. In order to do that all I have to do is purchase a new module with a channel 47 crystal installed and a channel 47 rx crystal and I'm good to go, correct?

Please clarify if I still need to send the transmitter and receiver in for fine tuning for this much of a channel change.

Thank you in advance,

Doug McKeller

Default Good Question

I am in no way trying or want to answer for Danny. I can relate my experiences and questions in the mean time though. I asked a similar question a little bit ago here -> module1

This post is interesting too ->module2

Another tidbit -> module3

Hope that helps_bobb

Yes, that would be all that you would have to do, your other option being to send your module in and have it retuned to the new frequency. Your receiver would be just fine to swap the crystal.
