Well I decided to pull out the DA-85 and KS 1090 and put in a DA-100 with stock mufflers. I have the 100 installed and ready to fly tomorrow. My AUW with the DA-100 is 27 lbs. I will see how the performance is between the two engines and post the results.

I only have the pics of the install of the 1090. I tested the plane with the 100 today. I tached the 100 after the first flight. It turned a PAU 27 3Db prop 6400 rpms, which is exactly what the 85 with the 1090 turned the same prop. The plane has considerably less vibration with the 100 as well. As far as flying goes, I have never felt more confortable with a giant scale plane. Against my better judgement, I was doing slow high alpha inverted passes on the second tank of a brand new engine. With the very little extra weight of the 100 the plane does not even feel it. It is a major floater and super stable. I would definately recommend the 100 on stock mufflers over the 85 on a pipe any day of the week. But of course, that is just my opinion so take it for what it is worth

I just would like to see pics of the finished plane, don't really care about what engine, I would like to get an ideal of the physcial size of it compared to other 100cc planes.

Well I am so happy with the way my 2.7M Extra flys I had to buy a Panzl PAK kit. From what Kevin and Al have said, the Panzl flys as well as the Exra. For $500 I just cannot pass up on that deal. The 2.7M Extra with the DA-100 is by far the most predictable and confidence inspiring plane I have flown. It truely is a great combo.
