Default K-160G2 idle

How low can I put the rpm setting and still be safe form flameout? At 37k I have too much residual thrust when landing. Any help please. Kelly

Hello Kelly
What kind of plane? Any way to increase drag on it like adding more flap?

We have been helping people with flameout issues only to find out they turned down their RPM in the ECU to a lower number causing the flameouts. I would try other options if possible before adjusting Idle thrust. You might be able to turn it down to a safe number on one day then the weather changes and the number is not safe to use and may cause flameouts.

Every time I've seen this its almost always on a turbine bigger than needed on an airframe.

My K160G2 is in a T-1, and I have the flaps fully down.

Jelly you can try crow off n the ailerons with the flaps down. That helps.

I have flown the T1 with a k210 before and although hard to slow down I was able to land with it. The crow helped allot.

Is is your engine getting down to the published idle rpm? Or is it hanging higher?

+1 on the crow, I had similar issues with a rebel pro wanting to float forever. These beasts fly too well and are way too light for their own good
