G4 Futaba Receiver Question
Sorry if the is answered elsewhere, I can't find it.
Page 20 of the G4 manual mentions Futaba receivers require a Power Box or Smart Fly to deliver consistent voltage. www.kingtechturbines.com/doc/Manual_G4.pdf.
If one does not run a Power Box, is the DRM/ECU impacted or just the GSU? Does it impact actual turbine operation or just the GSU?
I suppose I can run a Power Box, just wasn't originally planning on it.

My Feedback: (41)
Well perhaps some guys only run an rx on foamie jets, but all my Turbines have some sort of PE to allow dual battery installs. It looks like KingTech doesn't want the engines operating on a single rx buss output from Futaba. Just call Barry and ask him for sure but what you can do is just pick up one of the new PowerBox Pioneers. Neat little piece that accepts dual batteries, can support the iSat gyro and the GPS sensors if you want.
About $200 last I looked. It's also quite small compared to other PB units and I have two installed on Turbines with bye passes where a Mercury or such will not fit on the fuselage and clear the Turbine bye pass.
