Does elevation change startup parameters?

Hey guys, I have a K-180G and the engine has only been run in Phoenix, AZ where the elevation is about 1500 feet msl. I recently moved to Salt Lake City, UT and the elevation of the flying field is about 4500. Is there anything I need to change in the startup or running parameters off the bat before I start this jet up? Thanks

Steven

Well I would try a start but be alert for flames. If it starts hot then shut it down and let it cool off. With thinner air I would say you might need to lean out the start some by turning down the preheat fuel. But you might find its good to go.

I don't think that high will effect to much but you may be a little richer at those alts since the air will be thinner to you fuel ratio

Both of you were right as it was a little rich. I adjusted a few parameters and its starting and running like a champ. Thanks to you both.
