Sig is my favorite kit maker. 2 Somethin' Extra kits, a Smith Miniplane (very challenging), a Herr Little Extra ARF, and now a 1/5 Anniversary Cub in progress. To me, their kits are pure pleasure- challenging, well thought out and well documented, and good materials. I hope they stick around for a long time yet... there are still a few kits i want to try! I got pretty nervous three months ago reading about all the Sig problems. I build most scratch aircraft so I bought about $700.00 worth of wood from them and they had every piece except for one odd ball. I was really satisfied with the service and the balsa was all great quality.
I do have several cans of dope on back order from an order a couple months old but they told me it would be a while. I am sure that dope is not the top thing on their list but I need it to use all the Basla. If you send them an email they have always answered in a day or so.
Like a lot of companies not perfect but I have bought from them for over 40 years. Life would be a lot tougher for me if there was no sig.
