I have an old Royal kit (1/2A P-51D) that a friend gave me because he can no longer work on it. It doesn't seem to have all the plans, just the wingand fuselage lay out and full size parts print of the bulk heads and ribs.
My friend bought the kit in 94-96 from Ryders Hobby Shop.
My friend "thought" all the plans were there, but i think there is some missing.
The canopy is also missing and I am hoping the the complete set of plans will show exactly how it is shaped and how it fits so I cantry and make a replacement.

That kit I haven't built but House of Balsa still makes a small Stang, you may be able to use some of the parts from there kit? Look it up and see if they are the same size. If so use one of there canopys.
