My planes were getting dull after a few months. Cleaning with 409 Glass and Surface was getting the oil off but they just didn't have that just covered shine. My Wife was dusting and I saw the can of pledge and went Hmmm...

Works Great! Its easy to do, fast and makes my planes glossy and slick.

I just wanted to share the tip!

I discovered Pledge sprayed on models over 40 years ago. While it's true it will "gloss up" your finish (I tried on on my doped finishes), one thing I did not like about it was it also made the model "slippery". Hard to hold onto and susceptable to dropping it while carrying it! Pledge sprayed onto a model made for a very slick surface (but it looked nice).
