Started building my winter kit early this year as weather was poor, my GP skybolt is now at covering stage, will be finnished in a month or so. Will take a break from building and do some work on the house, unfortunatly a nessesity.

Will prob put together a ARF rutan canard I have sitting with twin engines while doing the house just to keep my hand in.

As soon as the wife is happy that my live does not revolve around model planes I will get stuck into a goldberg sukoi 26, this will be dle 30 powered. Hopefull that will maiden next sumer.

Now finishing up my second Fourstar 40 and 2X4 glider. I have a Goldberg Falcon III to finish. Picked up a GP .40 Cub kit
yesterday for my winter project. The Cub will be built clipped, and will get a .70 4-stroke.

Right now I'm in the middle of "Bashing" and rebuilding a old ARF Seaplane called the League Models Neptune. I have had the plane down to it's bones and I'm highly modifying of customizing it to have seperate flaps and retracts to convert the aircraft into a true amphibian.

It's fun ( NOT ) putting retracts on a plane that wasn't designed for it. It takes a lot of extra plywood supports and bracing inside the wing!

Right now I'm finishing up filling and sanding on the left wing. Hope to start the other right wing next week. I covered most of the plane in Mono Flat Sky Blue and Olive. Planing on making it a Luftwaffe 46' " What If " Amphibian.

The retracts are already working on one of the wings. Right now I'm sanding and smothing the wheel well so the tire doesn't stick on any side of it.

MIG -27 target drone. This October 2nd, we are going to have it at WATTFEST 2011 near Tampa Florida and sell rafle tickets to shoot at it with airsoft guns. Anyone interested in attending this all-electric powered event, here are a couple links. If you have an electric powered aircraft ready by then, come join us!

Just finished a Sig "Riser 100" and have started my club building contest ship, a Balsa USA 1/6th scale "Sopwith Pup". It's already a fun build, and I've got everything coming to get it finished right. In gathering things up, I ordered an insignia set from Callie Graphics in New Mexico. The product is top shelf and the service was outstanding. I ordered the insignia set on Monday via phone and had it by Thursday. Their web site is a worthwhile visit just to look around and be inspired by other people's work.

I'm going to finish up my T/F P-47 on the table right now, and get started on a 4 Star 120. I also have a T/F P-51D ARF 60 that I bashed into a B that I'd like to get finished up.

Build well!

Sig YAK 18P. should take pic's as i go. don
Absolutely take pics. I have one and it's high on my list to start, which means in the next couple years. I found some great pictures of a 18PS that was a taildragger which is how I'll be building mine.

As far as what I'll be building, a scratch build of the Stearman C3-R on floats. I can't find any plans from any of the usual sources, can't even find a 3-view. There are only a couple still flying and I'm trying to contact the owners to see if they have any info, but looks like I may be starting with just a couple pictures and info on wingspan and fuse length.

WOW! you guys are serious winter builders. i though i was alone. the YAk 18 taildragger is tempting. i have about five 1/4" sticks glued for one fuse side at this time. just started. will try and take pic's soon hopefully. i can't even find the on button to this computer machine. bare with me. must be age! LOL i would rather be smelling balsa sawdust and gluing my fingers with that speed c/a stuff. two years ago, my wife had to cut out an F2 bulkhead cause i got glued in there using my fingers as a clamp. wonderful thing when skin grows back. thats my story and i'm sticken-to-it. airboss

Bandsaw and Stationary 6" disc/belt sander. my two best friends during scratch building. end result. you build what you want, the size you want and the project becomes a one-of-a-kind rare plane at the field. Oh, the shear joy of it. don

Hi Don,

We got snow above 9000 ft. a couple of days ago... It's coming, I need to get my workshop insulated! I put the T/F P-51B conversion kit on an ARF fuse... here is a picture of what I have. Sorry I don't have any pictures of the actual construction...[]

Build well!

Engines are 3.2 gassers from Brisson. These engines were modified 20 years ago! They were never installed or broken in.Cost a fortune to modify I'm sure. They still make FEMA starters that you could sun gear like this set up. lots of work.

I'm modifying a 160 U-CAN-DO ARF for a 52cc Brisson engine and getting rid of that HORRIBLE pink checkerboard cover job. Better hinges, servos, hardware, and COLORS.

I have a Goldberg Anniversary Cub to finish (clipped wing) and if that goes quickly there is either an Astro Hog or a Gentle Lady in the rafters. I don't see why the Cub should go quickly however...I started it last winter!!![:@]
